Apollo Telehealth has notched up a whopping 1800 per cent jump in tele-consultations since the outbreak of the pandemic in the country. And this impressive jump has not been limited to any particular region or market.

From north India to central India to the eastern and western parts of the country, the demand for telehealth services has seen a surge in all corners of the country. In more specific terms, central India, in particular, has been a star performer with a 6942 per cent leap followed by east India at 5983 per cent, north India at 3720 per cent, west India at 3403 per cent, and south India at 830 per cent.

“From rural India to small towns to big metro cities, patients came from all corners for virtual consultations through Apollo Telehealth’s multitude of projects. And demographically speaking, they came from all socio-economic classes, income groups, age groups, and gender. Both males and females actively sought online medical advice. This means that a degree of near-permanency around patient usage behaviour vis-à-vis telehealth and the implicit crystallisation of user trust in our projects has come to take strong roots,” said Vikram Thaploo, CEO, Apollo Telehealth.
