Medanta - The Medicity, in a multiple collaborator effort with global leaders - GHPL, Hopkins, MIER and Bionworks has received 1,20,000 USD (90 lakhs) competitive international grant from Pfizer Independent Grants for Learning & Change (IGLC) and The Joint Commission (JCI) as part of Antimicrobial Stewardship program for the Asia-Pacific Region.
Medanta, along with the global leaders will be in competition with 13 international JCI accredited hospitals for an innovation to improve hospital care practices for appropriate antibiotic usage to improve patient outcomes, a practice that is a topical issue globally.
On competing with 13 international JCI accredited hospitals, Dr. Naresh Trehan, Chairman and Managing Director, Medanta said, “In continuation to our commitment to world class treatment for all our patients, we are delighted to be a part of the Antimicrobial Stewardship Program to excel towards improved patient outcomes”.
