Tata Trusts lays foundation stone for cancer hospital in Ranchi

The hospital is being set up by the Jharkhand government with assistance from the Tata Trusts.

Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das and Tata Trusts Chairman Ratan Tata recently laid the foundation stone of the Ranchi Cancer Hospital and Research Center. The hospital is being set up by the Jharkhand government with assistance from the Tata Trusts.

The hospital will be built on 23 acres of land donated by the state department of health, medical education and family welfare department to the Tata Trusts in Kanke on the outskirts of the state capital earlier this year.

According to Jharkhand health secretary Nitin Madan Kulkarni, the first phase of the hospital is expected to become operational with 150 beds by 2022.
