7 factories open at Medical Devices Park in Telangana

Kalvakuntla Taraka Rama Rao, Minister for Municipal Administration & Urban Development, Industries & Commerce, and Information Technology of Telangana inaugurated 7 factories in Medical Devices Park in Sultanpur, Sangareddy.

The seven companies are Promea Therapeutics, Huwel Life Sciences, Akriti Oculoplasty, Arka Engineers (Medical), SVP Techno Engineers, Elvikon and Rees Medilife.

While Akriti is one of the first companies in India to manufacture end to end eyewear frames, reading glasses, safety glasses, diagnostics products, & many other surgical implants, Arka Medical manufactures Dental & Maxillofacial implants, Prosthetics and other accessories and is currently rendering novel designs in Dental Implants.

On the other hand, Promea Therapeutics is a diagnostics and medical devices manufacturing company specializing in immunodiagnostics, molecular diagnostics, and large volume parenterals.

“Since its launch, the Sultanpur medical device park has 50 companies setting up their manufacturing and R&D units with an overall investment of Rs 1424 Crores and total employment of around 7000 direct jobs. We aim to make this park as not just a global factory for the world but a global medtech innovation ecosystem,” Kalvakuntla Taraka Rama Rao said.
