Bengaluru-based Immuneel Therapeutics has entered into a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Tata Memorial Centre (TMC), an aided institute under the Department of Atomic Energy and India’s leading comprehensive cancer treatment and research institutions, to accelerate clinical and translational research in advanced cell and gene therapies.
The collaboration marks a significant step toward strengthening India’s innovation ecosystem in oncology and improving access to next-generation therapies for patients with difficult-to-treat cancers. Through this partnership, Immuneel and TMC aim to combine their respective expertise in clinical research, product development, manufacturing, and cancer care to drive meaningful advancements in immunotherapy and precision medicine.
The partnership also exemplifies the growing synergy between government-supported research institutions and Indian industry, reinforcing a collaborative approach to advancing innovation and building a technologically self-reliant and stronger nation.
Under the MoU, the two organisations will work together on a broad range of collaborative initiatives in cell and gene therapy, including clinical studies, translational research, manufacturing expansion, policy engagement, and educational programmes. The partnership is designed to create a strategic framework for future projects focused on accelerating innovation and enhancing patient outcomes in India.
Another important area of collaboration will include policy engagement efforts to help shape frameworks for first-in-human clinical trials and support the broader development of India’s regenerative medicine and advanced therapeutics ecosystem.
