Daiichi Sankyo Company, Limited (hereafter Daiichi Sankyo) has announced its decision to close the Hiratsuka plant owned by its subsidiary, Daiichi Sankyo Chemical Pharma Co., Ltd. (hereafter, DSCP).

In April 2015, the Daiichi Sankyo Group restructured domestic supply chain subsidiaries, aggregating API production within DSCP to further enhance business operations.

Subsequently, a comprehensive assessment toward making API production more efficient and more competitive on a global level led to the decision to close the DSCP Hiratsuka Plant.

DSCP Hiratsuka Plant production items will be transferred to other DSCP plants or outsourced.
