Pfizer announces new managing director
Mr Sridhar joined Pfizer in June 2008
"Pfizer has announced that the Board of Directors of the Company has appointed Mr S Sridhar as the Managing Director of the Company, with effect from March 18, 2016 for a period of 5 years," the company said in a filing to BSE.
"The appointment of Mr S Sridhar will be subject to the approval of shareholders at the ensuing Annual General Meeting of the company," it added.
Mr Sridhar joined Pfizer in June 2008. He assumed additional responsibility of the Distribution function from May 2013. Before joining Pfizer, Mr Sridhar was the Finance Director in India Hub of Diageo India.
Mr Sridhar was appointed to the Board on May 14, 2013.
