Wockhardt recalls its drug in the US
It has been classified as a Class-II recall
Wockhardt USA, the American arm of the Mumbai-based firm Wockhardt, has decided to recall 93,393 bottles of Captopril tablets, for failing to meet specifications for thickness, according to information available on the United States food and Drug Administration (USFDA)'s site.
Captopril tablets is used for the treatment of high blood pressure and kidney problems caused by diabetes.
It has been classified as a Class-II recall which FDA defined as "a situation in which use of or exposure to a violative product may cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences or where the probability of serious adverse health consequences is remote".
