Bombay HC approves Pfizer-Wyeth deal
Pfizer and Wyeth had said that they will merge their India operations under a single brand
The Mumbai High Court (HC) has approved the merger of Wyeth with the pharma giant Pfizer. "The Honorable High Court of Judicature at Mumbai has considered and approved the amalgamation of Wyeth with the company," the company said in a filing to BSE.
Last year, Pfizer and Wyeth had said that they will merge their India operations under a single brand, 'Pfizer brand' as a part of efforts to boost business.
