The BIRAC's 3i - "Investment for Industry Innovation Research" - Portal has been developed for sustainable, accountable, transparent governance and management of the Investment Schemes of national importance run and managed by BIRAC.
In anticipation of the impetus that NeGP was going to give to the domain of e-Governance in the country, the CSI-Nihilent e-Governance awards were instituted way back at the beginning of the current millennium with three major objectives.including to be an independent focal point for the assessment of e-Governance initiatives in the country; to take the lead in recording appreciation of the vision and the effort of various levels of government officials in bringing e-governance initiatives to fruition against difficult odds.
Over the years, the awards forum has received over a thousand nominations under various categories and a large number of them have been reported as case studies and have had their experiences globally shared through their inclusion in the Annual Compendium released by CSI SIG e-GOV.
