Bioseed Research India (BRI), the hybrid seed business of DCM Shriram Consolidated (DSCL), has been awarded the Indian STEPs and Business Incubators Association (ISBA) 2013 "Performance Award" in recognition of BRI's successful partnership with the Agriculture Business Incubator (ABI) at International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT).
Bioseed Research India was conferred the award at the ISBA Awards ceremony held on 8th February 2013. The ISBA 2013 Performance Award was presented to BRI in appreciation of their outstanding performance results achieved through employing innovative techniques to accelerate Bt cotton hybrid development.
On receiving the award, Dr Paresh Verma, Research Director, Bioseed Research India Ltd said, "It is a privilege to receive this award as an acknowledgement of our innovative research program. The supportive environment provided by the ABI at ICRISAT helped us to focus on enhancing our research and production capabilities to significantly reduce the time taken for products to reach the market. This recognition will encourage us to achieve greater successes in the future."
