Opportinity for biomedicine students to learn in Japan

The department of biotechnology (DBT) in collaboration with the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) has invited applications from researchers (Students in their second or third year of research and Young PIs) to visit the DBT- AIST International Laboratory for Advanced Bioinformatics (DAILAB) and contribute to ongoing research themes in cell-imaging and drug screenings using novel assays for disease therapeutics, stress and metabolic regulations, for a period of three months to one year. This will provide training for research, living and working in Japan.

Selected applicants will be supported for their travel, accommodation and living as per AIST rules. Interested students should send application including the following information in English to s-kaul@aist.go.jp or y-ohmiya@aist.go.jp

The applicants will have to send their detailed photo CV, letter of recommendation from the mentor, NOC (No Objection Certificate) from the head of their parent institute and one page synopsis on points including the reason for doing research; main curiosity and the major question seeking answer by research and level of satisfaction being a researcher as a career.
