Dr Harsh Vardhan while speaking after presenting the Business Excellence Awards at the India Pharma expo in New Delhi on October 25, 2015 mentioned that it is very important that the Indian pharma industry to focus on research and development to create innovative climate.
"The Indian pharmaceutical industry must pursue serious scientific research for providing quality and cost effective medicines to people. Narendra Modi government wants to put the science to use and has called upon the pharmaceutical manufactures to take up challenging researches," said Dr Vardhan adding that in his ministry under the aegis of Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR) and Department of Biotechnology (DBT), researches are going on in the pharmaceutical sector to benefit the people.
The 4th edition of Indian Pharma Expo 2015, was organized by UBM Medica India on 24-25 October 2015, at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. Indian Pharma Expo 2015 provided an opportunity for the participating companies to display their products and services to the gamut of visitors, globally from pharma and healthcare industries. The two day expo brought together eminent personalities from various sectors of pharma, non-pharma and healthcare industries.
As per the organizers, IPE-2015 served as a one stop juncture to all those who are planning to expand their business through various channels of franchise and distribution; as well as wholesalers and hospital purchase personnel who seek to buy bulk products on concessional rates.
