Corrective measures! Industry leaders take a pledge disapproving any wrongdoing, resolving to follow ethics!
Recently, on the platform of 2nd Annual Event 'Aarogya Bharat 2025' Healthcare Federation of India (NATHEALTH) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Indian Medical Association (IMA) to develop a standard for an ethical environment for the Healthcare sector in India.
Mr Anjan Bose, secretary general, NATHEALTH said, "Through collaboration between NATHEALTH and IMA we aim to define the Code of Ethics with appropriate transparency and in compliance with applicable laws, regulations and government guidance.
Dr KK Aggarwal, Hony. secretary general, IMA said, "Self Code of Ethics is the need of the hour. Through this partnership we will work together to achieve the goal of 'Clean Medical World'. Not only in Healthcare delivery service but also in other sectors like Medical Technology Providers, Diagnostic Services, Health Insurance, Healthcare Education, Healthcare IT, Healthcare Publishers/Communicators and other segments."
NATHEALTH unveiled ETHICS PLEDGE, all industry leaders that includes Additional Secretary, Ministry of Health & Family, C K Mishra, Dr. Prathap C Reddy, Founder Chairman, Apollo Hospitals, Shivinder Mohan Singh, Vice Chairman, Fortis Healthcare, Mr. Sushobhan Das Gupta, Managing Director, Johnson & Johnson Medical India, Dr. KK Aggarwal, Padam Shree Awardee Cardiologist & General Secretary Indian Medical Association, Mr Rajen Padukone CEO & MD Manipal Health Enterprises, Dr. Arvind Lal, Chairman, Dr Lal Pathlabs and Dr. Nand Kumar Jairam, Chairman, Columbia Asia Hospital pledged to build a robust and transparent platform to promote ethical practices in the healthcare ecosystem.
