Zytex (India), engaged in marketing of a broad range of biotechnological products, has increased its sales turnover to Rs 15 crore in 2006-07 from previous year's sales of Rs 12 crore. Zytex offers products such as probiotics, enzymes for baking, food, animal feed and textile and garment processing chemicals.
Zytex believes that product research should be backed by application development. Hence it set up an application lab in 1997 to support the customers and also to develop products from the bench scale to the customer rapidly. The application lab was further expanded to support its full-fledged formulation facility. In 2003, Zytex started its innovation start-up lab in a small way and from then on it has moved to its new state-of-the-art innovation center in January 2006. Based on research conducted at its center, it is now in the process of setting up a new production facility for a range of therapeutic enzymes and proteins. Its research laboratory is well equipped and manned with qualified professionals. It has also set up an ISO 9001:2000 certified manufacturing unit.
Zytex has a strong distribution network in India and also in
Asia/South East Asia. Its marketing personnel include chemists, food
technologists, microbiologists and chemical
engineers.
