Shree Manibhai and Smt Navalben Virani Science College, affiliated to Saurashtra University has been accredited at the “A” Level by NAAC & STAR College by DBT. It offers BSc and  MSc courses in biotechnology.  While the former had a student intake of 120 students this year, the latter provided admission to 40 students. SKS runs many institutions, which provide education from KG to PG. The institute which introduced B Sc in biotechnology in 1999,  has a good range of laboratory equipment and specialized laboratories for tissue culture, microbiology, pathology, biotechnology, biochemistry and biology.
As part of its post-graduate programs, the institute also conducts minor research. Students are enrolled by common entrance test conducted by the institute followed by personal interview.
