A dream to help build India’s burgeoning life sciences, biotechnology and bio-based industries by developing a world class institute. SILB is affiliated to Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla and recognized as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organization by the Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India.
   The faculty of the institute has vast experience in formulating and handling biotechnology related national and international projects, under the overall guidance of Prof PK Khosla, former vice-chancellor, HPAU, Palampur and ex-advisor, Biotechnology, Govt of Himachal Pradesh.
