The Letter of Intent was received by Dr Sanjay Pandey, Dean Research, AIIMS Patna; Dr Sudeep Kumar, Professor, Department of Orthopaedics, AIIMS Patna; and Dr Mousumi Saha, CEO, AIIMS Patna Incubation and Innovation Council.
The project will be led by Dr Sudeep Kumar as the Principal Investigator. The MedTech Incubation Centre will be headed by Dr Mousumi Saha, who will lead the strategic vision, operations, and ecosystem development of the centre.
This newly sanctioned MedTech Incubation Centre aims to strengthen the ecosystem for medical device innovation, translational research, and healthcare startups. The initiative is aligned with AIIMS Patna’s commitment to nurturing clinician-led innovation, supporting early-stage startups, and bridging the gap between clinical needs and technological solutions.
AIIMS Patna has been steadily building a robust incubation ecosystem dedicated to empowering medical and healthcare innovators, startups, and entrepreneurs. The establishment of this centre will further enhance its capacity to provide mentorship, infrastructure, regulatory guidance and industry-academia collaboration.
