Cytelabs utilises advanced technologies and techniques to conduct oncopathological testing

Cytelabs, a first-of-its-kind independent and specialised oncopathology cancer diagnostic services, is looking at expanding its services to hospitals and patients across South India.

Launched in 2020 by Bengaluru-based Cytecare Cancer Hospital, Cytelabs provides easy access to high-quality cancer diagnostic services to surgeons and patients across 65 partnered hospitals in Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana. Given the overwhelming response, the plan is to expand the diagnostic services to other States in near future.

Recognizing the limited access to super-specialised oncopathology in India, Cytelabs was conceived with the idea to extend the exceptional oncopathological expertise available within Cytecare to oncologists, oncosurgeons and patients beyond the Bengaluru hospital.

Oncopathology is an integral part of cancer diagnosis and treatment. It is a branch of medicine which essentially deals with establishing the tissue diagnosis of cancer and forms the basis of cancer treatment.

Cytelabs, the brainchild of Dr Aparna Gangoli, plans to digitise pathology services in the near future in its attempt to provide access to the remote places, thus, ensuring everyone has access to the advanced services for proper diagnosis and treatment.
