Fortis Hospital, Bannerghatta Road recently conducted a one-of-its-kind live surgery demonstration on a robot-assisted kidney transplant in association with Intuitive, developer of the Da Vinci Surgical system. The educative session demonstrated various skills and expertise required for a robot-assisted kidney transplant and explained the evolution of minimally invasive kidney transplantation, with a specific focus on robot-assisted kidney transplant and the benefits it offers to specific patient groups.
