Blockchain For Impact (BFI) has announced invitation of proposals to join its vision to accelerate transformative healthcare solutions- through Support for Advancement in Medical and Applied Research for Transformative Healthcare (SAMARTH).
BFI is seeking innovative and collaborative proposals in healthcare from Medical Institutions (Medical colleges and Hospitals) across India to join hands in tackling public health related challenges head-on.
As per the given guidelines, proposals should be submitted to BFI-BIOME SAMARTH Application Form by 08th January 2025.
Each institution is eligible to receive funding of up to $90,000 for a single project over a period of 18 to 24 months, with flexible utilisation of funds for research expenses, equipment, personnel salaries, and other project-related costs. This initiative encourages collaboration among medical institutions, researchers, innovators, and technologists across India, facilitating the acceleration of progress in healthcare and biomedical research. The programme also provides opportunities for researchers to develop proof-of-concept or prototypes, enhance their research capacity, and build connections within the biomedical community.
SAMARTH focuses on research areas with strong translational potential, including infectious diseases, non-communicable diseases, cancer, rare diseases, neurodegenerative disorders, dementia and ageing, antimicrobial resistance, application of genomics and proteomics in biomarker discovery for diagnostics and therapeutics and novel technologies in diagnostics & devices.
