HAB Pharma appoints Pankaj Agarwal as Chief Financial Officer

HAB Pharmaceuticals & Research Limited (HAB Pharma), an Indian pharmaceutical company with a legacy spanning over four decades, has appointed Pankaj Agarwal as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The appointment comes as HAB Pharma strengthens its financial and organisational capabilities to support its next phase of growth, driven by expanding manufacturing capacities, R&D initiatives, domestic presence and international market opportunities.

A Chartered Accountant with almost 18 years of experience across the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors, Agarwal brings expertise in financial strategy, planning and forecasting, financial reporting and compliance, fundraising, treasury management, audit, risk assessment and operational efficiency.

Prior to joining HAB Pharma, he held senior finance roles at Innovcare Lifesciences, Max Healthcare and Vyome Biosciences. At Innovcare, he contributed to a $5 million Series C fundraise and a further $1 million through non-convertible debentures and led the implementation of SAP for the accounts function.

He began his career in audit and compliance with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and later worked as a Partner at Lahoti Roy & Associates. At HAB Pharma, Agarwal oversees financial planning, budgeting, reporting, compliance, risk management and corporate governance, while providing financial insights to support informed business decisions. He works closely with the leadership team to strengthen financial discipline, operational efficiency and sustainable value creation across the organisation.
