IDMA appoints Dr T. S. Parmar as Secretary General

Indian Drugs Manufacturers' Association (IDMA) has announced the appointment of  of Dr T. S. Parmar as the Secretary General. Dr Parmar brings over 33 years of extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with a strong track record across leading organisations such as Boots / Knoll India, Eli Lilly India, Jubilant Life Sciences, Zydus Biochem, and Zydus Cadila, with his most recent role being MD & CEO of Albert David.

He has held key leadership positions including MD & CEO, President, and COO, with significant responsibility for overall business operations, P&L management, corporate strategy, and business development.

During his tenure, he has successfully led business turnarounds, established greenfield pharmaceutical operations, driven large-scale sales and marketing functions, and contributed to strategic initiatives including Mergers & Acquisitions. He has also handled manufacturing and international business operations and has been closely associated with specialty therapy segments such as cardiology, diabetology, oncology, and Gynecology.

Dr Parmar is also actively engaged as a mentor, healthcare advisor, author, and academic contributor, and has been associated with leading institutions as a member of Boards of Studies and as a guest faculty.
