IPA appoints Samir Mehta, Chairman, Torrent Group as President

According to Mehta, IPA will be collaborating with stakeholders to strengthen the accessibility of medicines

Indian Pharmaceutical Alliance (IPA) has appointed Samir Mehta, Chairman of Torrent Group as President of the IPA for 2021-2023.

Under his leadership, Torrent Pharma took several strategic initiatives, including forays into new therapies and geographies, large investments in product development infrastructure and capabilities, building state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities and acquisitions. His emphasis on professional organisational design, precise execution and operational efficiencies has built a strong and globally competitive generic business platform in Torrent Pharma.

A fine blend of business acumen and cautious entrepreneurial optimism, Mehta has positively influenced aspects of the Group culture with his contemporary outlook and innovative ideas.
