Dr Bharati Pravin Pawar, Minister of State, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, said that the COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted gaps in the Indian healthcare system which offers a distinctive opportunity to transform it through the private-public partnership.

Addressing the FICCI Healthcare Excellence Awards at the FICCI Heal 2021 event, Dr Pawar said, PPP in healthcare has the potential to resolve the issues and ensure healthcare inclusion for the Indian masses and create a sustainable long-term model.

CK Mishra, Former Secretary, Government of India said, India has demonstrated its manufacturing capacity during COVID-19 and unique healthcare handling capacity. He further mentioned that FICCI has played the role of a bridge between the industry and government.

Subhrakant Panda, Vice President, FICCI said we are proud to felicitate organisations and individuals for their efforts and exemplary contributions in the healthcare sector.

Professor & Advisor-IMA; Advisor-Medical Operations, Fortis Healthcare said the FICCI Annual Healthcare Awards aims to encourage and recognise the tremendous contributions of the healthcare providers by innovating for increased efficiency, affordability and improved performance of healthcare delivery.

Dilip Chenoy, Secretary-General, FICCI said the awards are indeed special when the world is going through difficult times and the importance of healthcare workers is of supreme importance.
