Mumbai-based heathcare startup Ayati Devices has introduced VIBRASENSE, which can detect foot ulcers. VIBRASENSE is a quick screening tool that quantifies the severity of foot neuropathy.
The device is portable, hand-held, battery-powered, and can screen up to 100+ patients with a single charge. It has an onboard display to show the severity on the go.
It connects wirelessly with the application for generating reports and monitoring. The USP of the product is to analyse the patients based on their history. The algorithm classifies the patient into the low-mid-high-risk category.
The technology has been developed at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay and is approved by the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO).
