In this issue, BioSpectrum, as part of the public private partnership series, is showcasing two companies, Vivo Bio Tech and Torrent Pharma. One of them is developing a cost-effective solution for diabetes treatment and the other is working on a potential molecule targeted at creating drugs for heart failure associated with diabetes



• Vivo Bio Tech, a Hyderabad-based biotech company is working towards developing and launching the generic version of diabetes-controlling molecule exenatide, utilizing SIBIRI funding, thereby reducing the treatment cost

• Ahmedabad-based Torrent Pharma, a major player in chronic therapies including CV and CNS in the India pharma market, is conducting trials of its potential discovery molecule, targeted at creating drugs for heart failure associated with diabetes, using BIPP funding
