Dr Satya Prakash Dash, senior director, strategy and business development, Strand Life Sciences.
Dr Satya Prakash Dash has taken over as senior director at Strand Life Sciences, Bangalore. His responsibilities include the strategy and business development. His previous stint with the Biotechnology Industry Research Assistant Council [BIRAC] was as head of strategic partnerships and entrepreneur development. Prior to that, he was a faculty at Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Bangalore and worked as chief operating officer at Association of Biotechnology Led Enterprises (ABLE), Bangalore.
Dr Dash holds triple masters from Leicester (UK), Cambridge (UK) and Sambalpur (India) and a PhD from University of East Anglia, UK.
His interests are "business of science", biotech strategy, entrepreneurship, design and national S&T policy. He authored a high level strategic blueprint of the biotechnology sector in India titled "Indian Biotechnology: The Roadmap to Next Decade & Beyond" at the behest of DBT-BIRAC.
