Huntsman Corporation, a global manufacturer and marketer of differentiated chemicals announced the creation of the new position of Vice President and Managing Director, Indian subcontinent and the appointment of Mr Steve Stilliard to this role. Mr. Stilliard was previously Vice President, Asia-Pacific, of Huntsman Corporation's Performance Products division.
The new role was created to provide leadership for Huntsman's rapidly expanding presence in the subcontinent and is based in Mumbai. Mr. Stilliard will report to Mr Paul Hulme, President of Huntsman's Textile Effects division and the senior executive responsible for the Indian subcontinent. He will coordinate the corporate and cross-divisional activities required to deliver growth, including investments and partnerships, strengthening the company's asset base, developing people capability and building relationships with governmental organizations and other key stakeholders.
Commenting on the appointment, Mr Peter R. Huntsman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Huntsman Corporation said, "This appointment recognizes the need to accelerate our investment in people and physical assets to strengthen our long-term position in this exciting market, which already accounts for over $500 million of our sales and over 1,000 associates."
