Somerset Indus Capital Partners has announced its full exit from Apex Hospitals, a leading multispecialty hospital group in Rajasthan renowned for advancing high-quality healthcare in the region.
Since Somerset’s investment in May 2019, Apex Hospitals has delivered remarkable growth-tripling its revenue, achieving 4x returns and a 4.0x+ increase in EBITDA. During the same time, the group also doubled its workforce, affirming its commitment to scaling operations and widening access to quality healthcare across Rajasthan.
From the outset, Somerset played an active role in shaping Apex’s strategic direction. By engaging early on for key go-to-market decisions, Somerset helped guide the company toward scalable, high-impact initiatives, most notably the launch of tele-health and E-ICU platforms to reach underserved regions with critical care services.
Somerset was also instrumental in the development of Apex’s Cancer Care Centre of Excellence, the first of its kind in the region. This strategic focus not only enhanced patient outcomes in cancer care but also strengthened Apex’s overall care delivery capabilities, significantly improving the company’s right to win across its markets.
