TheraNym Biologics opens Rs 1200 Cr manufacturing facility in Telangana

TheraNym Biologics, a contract manufacturing organisation by Aurobindo Pharma, has inaugurated its state-of-the-art manufacturing facility at Borpatla village in Sangareddy district, Telangana. Established with an investment of Rs 1,200 crore, the facility marks a significant addition to the state’s rapidly expanding biotechnology and pharmaceutical ecosystem. MSD has joined as the anchor customer for this new facility.

The facility will manufacture advanced biologics and critical medicines used in the treatment of cancer and other life-threatening diseases, with products catering to both domestic and international markets, including the United States.

TheraNym is equipped with advanced infrastructure designed to meet international regulatory standards. The establishment of TheraNym marks Aurobindo Pharma's strategic entry into the biologics contract manufacturing segment.

Beyond enhancing healthcare innovation, the project is expected to generate employment opportunities for more than 1,500 local youth, contributing to regional economic growth and skill development.
