Shankara Cancer Hospital and 4baseCare partner to make comprehensive genomic testing more affordable

4baseCare, a precision oncology company focused on making personalised cancer care accessible and affordable, has partnered with Shankara Cancer Hospital and Research Centre to strengthen its precision oncology capabilities by integrating advanced Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS)-based genomic testing into routine clinical practice.

As part of the collaboration, Shankara Cancer Hospital has upgraded its molecular diagnostics laboratory with a high throughput and advanced Next Generation Sequencing platform and adopted TarGT™ Indiegene, 4baseCare's comprehensive genomic profiling assay.

The test analyses over 1,200 cancer-associated genes using integrated DNA and RNA sequencing, enabling the detection of clinically actionable biomarkers that help oncologists make more informed, personalised treatment decisions.

A key objective of the partnership is to make comprehensive genomic profiling more affordable and accessible. Through this initiative, TarGT™ Indiegene will be offered at a subsidised cost, allowing many more cancer patients to benefit from precision oncology who previously may not have had access due to the high cost of testing.
