Karnataka to host 29th edition of Bengaluru Tech Summit 2026 on Nov 17-19 at BIEC

Karnataka Chief Minister DK Shivakumar has announced that the 29th edition of the Bengaluru Tech Summit (BTS 2026) will be held from 17–19 November 2026 at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC), with the theme "AI & Beyond."

Positioned as Asia's largest technology event, BTS 2026 will build on nearly three decades of bringing together the global innovation ecosystem and is expected to attract technology leaders, entrepreneurs, investors, researchers and policymakers from across the world.

Announcing the event, Shivakumar said the summit will reinforce Karnataka's leadership in technology and innovation while creating new opportunities for collaboration across emerging sectors including artificial intelligence, deeptech, electronics and semiconductors, biotechnology, startups, animation, visual effects, gaming and comics (AVGC), and other frontier technologies.

One of the biggest additions to this year's summit is the co-location of the inaugural edition of embedded world India, organised in association with NuernbergMesse India. The event will feature a dedicated conference track and exhibition pavilion focused on electronics and semiconductors, reflecting India's growing ambition to become a global manufacturing and chip-design hub. The initiative is expected to strengthen collaboration between international technology companies and India's expanding semiconductor ecosystem while further enhancing Karnataka's position as a leading destination for advanced electronics manufacturing.

Another new feature at BTS 2026 is the India edition of ChangeNOW, a globally recognised platform dedicated to environmental and social innovation. The co-located event will bring together innovators, startups, investors and policymakers working on sustainable technologies and climate solutions, expanding the summit's focus beyond digital transformation to include green innovation and impact-driven entrepreneurship.

The summit is expected to host more than 1,800 exhibitors, 25,000 delegates, over 1,000 technology startups and more than 60,000 business visitors from 75-plus countries and 30-plus States and Union Territories, making it one of the world's largest platforms for technology, innovation and business collaboration.

The three-day conference will feature multiple thematic tracks covering AI & DeepTech, FinTech, Health & Biotechnology, SpaceTech, the India–USA Tech Conclave and Global Collaboration, alongside emerging areas such as Digital Infrastructure & Data Centres, Circular Economy, Orange Economy and Electric Mobility.

BTS 2026 will also showcase a large-scale multi-sector exhibition highlighting cutting-edge innovations, complemented by investor networking sessions, international business meetings and strategic partnership programmes.

A major attraction for the startup ecosystem will be the Future Makers programme, designed to help high-potential startups connect with investors, mentors and global markets. The initiative will include investor pitching sessions, one-on-one mentoring clinics, startup showcases and the Future Makers Conclave, providing founders with opportunities to scale their businesses and access international networks.

With artificial intelligence taking centre stage under the theme "AI & Beyond," the 2026 edition aims to strengthen Bengaluru's position as India's technology capital while showcasing Karnataka's expanding role in shaping the future of AI, semiconductors, biotechnology and sustainable innovation.
