In light of the recent rise in COVID-19 cases in parts of India, Redcliffe Labs has issued a preventive healthcare advisory urging timely action and responsible practices.
With reported cases crossing the 250 mark nationally in May 2025, the advisory encourages individuals to remain cautious, seek medical attention, and follow basic preventive measures to help curb the spread.
Redcliffe Labs, after reviewing recent trends in respiratory infections, has advised that anyone experiencing symptoms like fever, cough, cold, or fatigue should consult a doctor and consider getting tested promptly. Even those without symptoms but who have had close contact with a confirmed or suspected case are urged to stay cautious and follow local health guidelines. While awaiting test results, it is recommended to wear a mask around others and limit close interactions, both indoors and outdoors.
To support accurate diagnosis, the advisory recommends molecular testing such as RT-PCR, which detects the virus's genetic material and is highly reliable. Rapid Antigen Tests (RATs) are also available for quicker results, especially in symptomatic cases or high-risk exposures.
Dr Mayanka Lodha Seth, Chief Pathologist, Redcliffe Labs said, “While there is a resurgence in a few regions, the situation remains manageable. There is no need for panic. What’s important is timely action. We advise individuals not to ignore early symptoms such as cough, fever, or severe body aches. Consult a doctor if you feel unwell, get tested if needed, and take basic precautions."
