India's Translational Research Initiative (ITRI) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the UK’s Centre for Process Innovation (CPI). This collaboration will enhance the UK-India partnership on research, development and innovation (R&D&I) and strengthen India’s translational research ecosystem.
This partnership focuses on shared learning, and knowledge exchange between ITRI, CPI, and other partners in the UK and India.
The partnership will initially focus on key areas, such as:
- Biomanufacturing enabled by Engineering Biology & AI
- Sustainable and functional materials
- Industrial decarbonisation technologies
- Pandemic preparedness – including RNA vaccines & therapeutics
With CPI’s two decades of experience in scaling deep-tech innovations and ITRI’s collaborative philanthropic effort and upcoming network of translational research centres across India, this partnership is a significant step towards fast-track lab-to-market transitions for economic, health, and environmental impact.
