"Being named in the Fortune 500 is a significant milestone in Quintiles' history," said Mr Tom Pike, CEO, Quintiles.

Companies considered for the Fortune 500 are ranked by total revenue for their respective fiscal years.
Included in the survey are companies that are incorporated in the US, operate in the US, and file financial statements with a government agency.
