Strategic partnership aims to boost pharmaceutical and medical device ecosystem

Taking a significant step towards promoting high-quality healthcare standards and strengthening the regulatory framework, the Pharmacopoeia Commission of India (IPC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Uttar Pradesh Pharma Council (UPPPC). 

This strategic collaboration aims to strengthen the pharmaceutical and medical device ecosystem by fostering quality standards, regulatory excellence, innovation, and capacity building.

Through this partnership, IPC and UPPPC will work together for strengthening quality standards and regulatory compliance in the pharmaceutical and medical device industries; Promote awareness about Indian Drug Code, Drug Vigilance and Substance Vigilance; Organise joint training programmes, workshops and awareness campaigns for stakeholders; Promote research, innovation, and industry-academia collaboration; Support Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) by providing digital tools for reporting adverse events; Enhancing patient safety through quality assurance and after-sales monitoring initiatives in the market.
