The Foundation Stone for the CSIR-National Institute for Interdisciplinary Science and Technology (NIIST) Innovation, Technology and Entrepreneurship Hub, was recently unveiled by Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi in the esteemed presence of Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar, Governor of Kerala, and Pinarayi Vijayan, Chief Minister of Kerala.
BIO 360 LIFE SCIENCES PARK at Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala is set to emerge as a major life sciences cluster in India and the CSIR NIIST Innovation, Technology and Entrepreneurship hub is being developed on a 10-acre land allotted free of cost at BIO 360 LIFE SCIENCES PARK, under Department of Industries,Govt of Kerala , underscoring Kerala’s long-term vision to build a globally competitive and comprehensive life sciences ecosystem.
The project discussion was initiated on August 2024 in presence of the Minister for Industries and Coir, P Rajeev, and Additional Chief Secretary (Industries), A. P. M. Mohammed Hanish IAS, BIO 360 LIFE SCIENCES PARK and CSIR-NIIST officials.
Once operational, the project is expected to significantly accelerate industry and startups growth, attracting major private players and life sciences industries and position Kerala as a major life sciences industries hub.
