Bio-Digital Convergence and Human Augmentation as one of the six plenary themes

Rajalakshmi Engineering College, Chennai is hosting a 3-day National Tech Fest, called TITANIUM 2026 during 12th-14th February, 2026 – billed as India’s largest Tech Fest.

Rajalakshmi Engineering College is a premier autonomous institution affiliated to Anna University, accredited with the highest A++ grade by NAAC and widely recognized for its strong ecosystem in research, innovation, entrepreneurship, and industry collaboration, nurturing future leaders in engineering and technology.

With 20+ international (US, UK, Germany and Malaysia) and national confirmed speakers from varied domains, 10+ plenary sessions, 75+ technical events, 35 lakh worth prizes, 50+ technology exhibits, 10+ certificate workshops and AR/VR experience zones, the fest is arguably shaping up to be India’s biggest hoping to draw 10000+ students, researchers and professionals.

With Bio-Digital Convergence and Human Augmentation as one of the six plenary themes, luminaries including Prof. Bruce Gale (University of Utah), Prof Abhimanyu Veerakumarasivam (Sunway University, Malaysia), Prof. Suresh ML Raghavan (University of Iowa), Piyush Padmanabhan (Founder-CEO, Next Big Innovation Labs, Bangalore) and Dr N Murugan (Senior Scientific Officer, mfine, Chennai) will take the stage to deliberate on the intersection of biology and technology.

The tech fest is also an opportunity for the participants to watch Tilly Lockey, the Bionic Woman and social media sensation from UK, speak and demonstrate the role of bionics in her daily life alongside a display of AI powered robots and Robotic rehabilitation devices by startup company Xibotix from Vellore. 

The man behind this mega tech summit, Abhay Meganathan, Vice Chairman of Rajalakshmi Engineering College spoke on his vision behind TITANIUM. According to him, “TITANIUM was conceived as a platform where science, engineering, and enterprise converge with real-world relevance. India stands at a defining moment in biotechnology, from deep-tech research and translational science to scalable industry impact. Through TITANIUM, our intent is to bring academia, industry, and young innovators onto one common stage to exchange ideas, challenge assumptions, and collectively shape the next phase of India’s biotech journey. It is not just a tech summit, but a deliberate effort to nurture future-ready talent and meaningful collaborations.”

The tech fest will also feature plenary sessions on defence, space technology, quantum computing, electric mobility, smart cities and circular economy. Exhibits on drone technology, autonomous vehicles, embedded systems, humanoid robots and workshops on 3D bioprinting, industry virtual twins, innovation bootcamp and microfluidics round up the dash of technology.
