Its mission is to make high-quality diagnostics accessible and convenient. By revolutionizing the industry with its on-demand, at-home testing model and partnering with over 1,000 clinics, Orange Health is committed to making healthcare more efficient and patient-centric. The company currently hires around 300 MLT professionals annually, with demand expected to grow to 1,000 professionals per year over the next five years as it expands its reach.
Virohan equips future Medical Laboratory Technologists with comprehensive education and training in clinical pathology, hematology, immunology, serology, and many more. The curriculum includes subjects such as biochemistry, histopathology, and cytopathology, along with advanced skills in blood banking and laboratory management. By combining classroom education with hands-on diagnostic practice, Virohan aims to bridge the gap between education and employment—producing work-ready talent for India’s rapidly evolving healthcare ecosystem.
While technology and AI have enhanced the efficiency of the entire ecosystem, a pressing concern remains: the growing shortage of skilled frontline workers like phlebotomists. As traditional diagnostic collection centers phase out, the demand for MLT professionals is set to rise sharply, particularly in urban areas, yet India’s skilling ecosystem remains unprepared.
