Amitabh Dube steps in as new OPPI President

The Organisation of Pharmaceutical Producers of India (OPPI), which represents the global research-based pharmaceutical companies in India, has appointed Amitabh Dube as its President for a term of two years effective 10^th September 2026.

Amitabh Dube is the Country President and Managing Director of Novartis India. With nearly three decades of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, he has held leadership roles across India and international markets.

Prior to his current position, Amitabh served as Country President of Novartis Vietnam, where he also chaired the country's leading pharmaceutical industry association, contributing to the advancement of the healthcare ecosystem in the country.

His strong understanding of the Indian pharmaceutical industry and the business landscape gives him the distinct advantage to steer through the complexities while staying committed to creating an impact for the patients and the society at large.
