ALV-200, a highly selective AMYR3 peptide candidate for metabolic disorders, as the first development candidate

Aurigene Pharmaceutical Services, an integrated drug discovery and CDMO partner and subsidiary of Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, has announced progress in its research collaboration with US-based Alveus Therapeutics, a biotechnology company developing next-generation therapies for obesity and metabolic diseases.

Under the collaboration, Aurigene provides integrated drug discovery services supporting Alveus’ research programmes in metabolic disease. It combines Alveus’ expertise in metabolic biology and therapeutic strategy with Aurigene’s discovery capabilities, including computational design, medicinal chemistry, and integrated biology platforms.

The teams nominated ALV-200, a highly selective AMYR3 peptide candidate for metabolic disorders, as the first development candidate. The candidate is part of Alveus’ broader portfolio of next-generation therapies being developed for obesity and metabolic disease.

Additional discovery programmes are ongoing as part of the collaboration supporting Alveus’ expanding research portfolio.

Discovery efforts are supported by Aurigene.AI, Aurigene’s AI-enabled drug discovery platform integrating generative design, predictive modeling, and computational chemistry with high-throughput laboratory capabilities to support efficient design-make-test cycles.
