Agri "India needs an integrated strategy for the agri sector" Dr Clive James founded the International Service for the Acquisition in Agri-biotech Applications (ISAAA) in 1990 with the objective of spreading awareness about biotechnology in agriculture. ISAAA has recently opened a Knowledge Center in India. During his trip to the country, Dr James spoke to BioSpectrum about his views on the crop biotechnology sector.

Agri BioAgri Analysis It has been a year, since Bt-cotton passed the test of acceptability. Besides the technology itself, good monsoon gave the bioagri sector the reason to cheer. On account of all these, the bioagri sector, which includes transgenics crops, bio-pesticides, biofertil-izers and agri research services, is estimated to have grown to Rs 180 crore.
