Leading neutraceutical company Sami Direct has recently launched a product ‘Bio-Iron'. Bio-Iron is a naturally-sourced, iron- enriched and clinically-evaluated bioavailable iron, which is safe and effective. The main ingredient used is green gram, which is a rich, natural source of iron.

Iron Deficiency Anemia (IDA) is the most commonly prevalent type of anemia worldwide, including India. While it affects all age groups, the most vulnerable sections are children, pregnant women and non-pregnant women of child-bearing age. Sami Direct recently launched ‘Bio-Iron', an iron supplement, sourced from green gram-a natural source of iron.

Iron is an essential trace mineral found in every cell and is vital for both the physical as well as the mental well-being. It is estimated that 70% of the body's iron is found in the red blood cells and myoglobin in muscles. IDA is caused when your body does not have enough iron to produce haemoglobin. Haemoglobin enables the red blood cells to carry oxygenated blood throughout the body.

Bio-Iron is a judicious combination of natural iron with natural bioavailability enhancer BioPerine. Also, it is clinically-evaluated and have found to increase haemoglobin percentage, serum iron and ferritin levels.

Speaking on the launch, Dr. Muhammed Majeed, Founder & Chairman, Sami Labs said, "Most iron supplements are synthetically sourced and may be unsafe for consumption. They could cause constipation, stomach upset and in some cases nausea and vomiting. At Sami, we are very particular that all our products are sourced out of natural herbs, spices and pulses. Bio-Iron has been clinically evaluated and has been deemed safe and effective. Bio-Iron has natural iron sourced from green gram through hydroponics process, which is used to enrich the beans.
