This news arrives just in time when GSK suffered a humiliating defeat of paying £297 million as fine last month for bribing doctors in China.

According to Reuters, Sanofi is said to have bribed doctors in Kenya and East African countries forcing them to prescribe its drugs.

"The investigation is still ongoing and is expected to take some time given that the allegations date back seven years," Sanofi said in a statement.
