Agilent launches new 'Triple Quadrupole' mass spectrometer

A multipurpose spectroscopy solution, the new LC/MS Triple Quadrupole from Agilent Technologies provides confident quantification and confirmation for most demanding applications

The Agilent 6400 Series Triple Quadrupole LC/MS Systems are designed for pharmaceutical labs, ADME/DMPK studies, biomarker validation, clinical research, food safety, forensics toxicology and environmental analyses. They provide unmatched productivity, performance and value for a variety of quantitative analysis needs.

Agilent Technologies has introduced a new flagship triple quadrupole mass spectrometer for LC/MS applications which requires highest sensitivity and robustness.

The Agilent 6495 LC/MS Triple Quadrupole system is fully integrated with Agilent's 1200 series UHPLC systems to deliver turnkey performance. The newest addition to the 6400 LC/MS Triple Quadrupole Series, the 6495 is designed for both routine laboratory analysis and for the most challenging quantitation in lifesciences, food and environmental applications.

"We are pleased to introduce this premium product into our 6400 portfolio," said  Mr Lester Taylor, director of Agilent's LC/MS product marketing.  He added, "It provides laboratories with a new standard of sensitivity, robustness and reliability for all types of quantitative analysis."

Agilent's 6495 LC/MS Triple Quadrupole system is a high-performance instrument that supports quantitative analysis for various challenging applications. Environmental and food science laboratories can use it to screen, identify and quantitate multiple pesticide residues. Pharmaceutical researchers can use it for rigorous drug and protein quantitation.

The system is designed for easy setup and operation, requires less maintenance and downtime than other LC/MS instruments. It will increase productivity and streamline laboratory workflow by providing highest-quality results at rapid, UHPLC-speed.
