Jaypee Group all set to change the scenario in healthcare

Noida based Jaypee Group, one of India's leading infrastructure conglomerates with diversified interests in hydropower, cement, hospitality and real estate has announced its foray into the healthcare sector with an investment plan of Rs 2,000 crore over the next 3-4 years, to establish a chain of hospitals in North India.

Jaypee Hospital, the flagship hospital of the Jaypee Group has been planned and designed as a 1200 bedded tertiary care multi-super-specialty facility and, is  being commissioned with shortly 525 beds in the first phase at Noida. It has been established on the fundamental principles of providing patient-centric care, evidence based medicine, ethical practices and value for money.

Mr Jaiprakash Gaur, founder chairman, Jaypee Group has envisioned that the healthcare division would emerge as a quality benchmark in the field of medicine.

Ms Rekha Dixit, director, Jaypee Healthcare commented, "The demand for quality healthcare is rapidly increasing in India. However, it has not been met by a suitable increase in supply. The Jaypee Group intends to bridge this gap by taking the initiative of creating 5000 quality beds and meet the acute shortage of quality beds in NCR and Uttar Pradesh. Also, we are planning similar facilities in other towns like Agra, Kanpur, Bulandshahar and Sahibabad. Hence, we are creating these mega hospitals which will provide correct medical treatment at the right cost".

"Our aim is to provide high quality healthcare delivery with world-class technology and infrastructure in the field of super-speciality services to the masses at affordable prices. We are primarily focusing on Noida and the adjoining areas of Uttar Pradesh throughout the Yamuna Expressway which links Delhi to Agra. There has been a continuous growing demand for quality healthcare services in the northern part of India, and affordability has been a biggest challenge for the society. Hence our emphasis and objective will suit the growing demand and supply and to emerge as the most dominant player in healthcare segment in NCR & Uttar Pradesh" added Dr Vikram Singh Raghuvanshi, chief Executive, Healthcare, Jaypee Hospital.
