Masimo Corp brings hi-tech products to India

Masimo is working with India's medical and nursing practitioners to raise awareness of the clinical and cost challenges that Masimo's innovative technologies can solve.

On January 7, 2014, California-based Masimo Corp, manufacturer of non-invasive patient monitoring technologies announced that it will be opening its offices across India to meet the health demands of the burgeoning Indian market.

Commenting about Masimo's expansion in India, Mr Jon Coleman, president, Masimo Worldwide Sales, Professional Services and Medical Affairs, said, "We have found that India is a an important market for several reasons - the most important is that the penetration of high technology devices is very low, a factor that could lead to thousands of avoidable instances of death and illness. Masimo's technologies will be able to make a significant impact to improve patient safety and outcomes."

Masimo in its official announcement said that it has obtained technology license and OEM agreements with leading patient monitoring manufacturers spanning the globe, including Atom, Datascope, GE Medical, Medtronic, Philips, Spacelabs, and Zoll.
