Lablinks Biotech was started as a small scale industry in Hoskote, Bangalore in 1989. The company has been successful in developing import substitution for a number of critical equipments such as fermenters, tissue culture roller apparatus, blotting manifolds, and filtration equipments.

Major customers of the company include prestigious institutions like Pasteur Institute of India, Indian Institute of Science, Sun Pharma, Intervet Laboratories, GB Pant University and Mediclone Biotech. In FY 2009-10, the company’s revenue is estimated at Rs 3 crore as against Rs 2 crore in FY 2008-09.

Lablinks Biotech has launched an advanced version of the disposable bioreactors (patent pending). Produced in Class 10,000 clean rooms with imported medical grade PVC film, Lablinks disposable bioreactor systems are very versatile and can be used to manufacture high-end vaccines to low-end biofertilizers. With low initial and operating costs these systems have the potential to bring biotechnology to small and cottage industry too, as they are ideally suited to manufacture biofertilizers in the rural areas.

Caters to customized needs
Pooja Lab Equipments manufactures scientific instruments, incubators, seed germinators, plant growth chambers, and other lab equipments. In fiscal 2009-10, the company clocked biotech revenues of Rs 1.50 crore.

In 1990, the company introduced its sophisticated fully-automated lab. In 1992, Pooja Labs  saw its business take an upward swing. Keeping in view of the growing global demand for a clean and green environment, Pooja Labs started manufacturing eco–friendly refrigeration equipment. The next challenging task came from the Space Application Center (ISRO) Government of India, Ahmedabad, to manufacture different instruments according to their requirements.
