Top BT Schools in India: BioSpectrum Survey 2013

The aim of conducting the survey every year is to collect, compile and disseminate information of the country’s overall progress in the area of biotech education

The BioSpectrum Top 20 Biotech Schools includes institutions offering BTech, Masters and PhD courses. The study was conducted during February-March 2013. The ranking is based on measurable and quantifiable data. The research team did not seek perceptions and opinions of stakeholders such as students or industry to rank the institutes.

I am proud that my Dept ranked 2nd best but i don't understand how it achieved top position in industry interaction. How they define Industry interaction.... is it interaction between faculty and industry or industries coming for placements of students. If the later is correct, then only one industry has come for placements and 3 students were selected from the department(out of 35 (MSc + M.Tech)). if this is the great achievement then i pity the existing situation other institutions.
